Where to EAT in Colorado Springs, CO


This is a Danish restaurant housed in an old elementary school and named for smørrebrød, the open-faced sandwich on rye bread. It's also a good place to hear jazz and enjoy cocktails (such as the Scandi punch, $15 for a carafe). I recommend the Baltic (tuna salad) and the Trondheim (cheese, cucumbers, and cress) if you are new to smørrebrød. These sammies are essentially flavor and texture explosions made into works of art! You'll probably want 1.5-2 per person, so my husband and I order a trio or quartet and share.
