I hate losing... unless we're talking about 25lbs.

Signing up for the F45's 8-week challenge. This grueling—all intensive—8-week program was essentially my "silver bullet" to put brakes to a lifestyle of partying, drinking and other bad habits. Was it hard? insanely, but it was 110% worth it. Why? well... you'll have to keep reading to find out! In short, joining this program was probably the best decision I've made in recent years. The idea behind it is simple: Drop $600 as a security deposit (or what they call a "commitment system") and set yourself to dropping either 8% body fat or 30lbs during the course of 8 weeks. During this time, this is what you get: • Unlimited classes • Professional coaching • Free Lionheart heart rate monitor ($75 value) • 3 Free InBody body scans ($150 value) • A New Member Welcome Pack • Nutritional support including daily meal plans, shopping guides and more. Should you reach that goal and you get your security deposit back, essentially giving you all of the above for free. Yeah, you read that well. FREE. Else, well... they keep your deposit which is paying for all of the above. What did you think? Someone needs to pay for all those classes! Now, I'd say that not reaching that 8% body fat drop kept me up at night a few times. Not because the program wasn't worth $600, but because I'm insanely competitive. However, this all changed one day when I realized that even if I didn't accomplish this goal 100%, I was going to be happy with giving my best shot, for that's all that I could give to it. And yes, giving it my best shot meant saying no—countless times—to drinking. Wanna know how hard that is? try saying no next time someone tells you to have a drink... or hands you a drink directly. That's even harder. Anyways, curious to know how it ended up? Not only did it help me achieve an amazing body transformation—a whopping 7% body fat loss or 25lbs—in record time, but it also changed countless of bad habits and routines that are now part of my overall day-to-day winning strategy. This challenge reinforced me that I could do anything I want if I put my mind to it. Not drinking for 8 weeks? check. Working out 6x a week? check. Waking up at 5:45 am to go work out? check. Meal prepping on Sundays? check. I could keep going, but you get the idea. In summary, this experience taught me that living life on half-measures only gives you half-results. If you want full results, fully commit to your goals, go "all-in", embrace the process and enjoy the results.
