Building Your Bucket List? Here's an Idea for You to Explore - Lighthouses!

Where in the World R we going? I must CONFESS…Are you ready to have fun conquering the NC lighthouse tour on a Harley? I love lighthouses! After visiting two local lighthouses near Wilmington (Old Baldy on Bald Head Island and the Oak Island Lighthouse in the Cape Fear Region), I started to wonder about visiting all 7 that are popular in NC. Most of the lighthouses are located in the Outer Banks and on the Crystal Coast of NC with Oak Island and Old Baldy home to the Cape Fear Region . The Lighthouse Tour Continues

This trip to the Outer banks weekend continues our NC Lighthouse Quest. Currituck Lighthouse in the Outer Banks is my favorite. We still will blog again about the Cape Lookout Lighthouse when we take a visit to Fort Macon and New Bern, NC, so please keep checking back. How We Discovered Bald Head Island

Bald Head Island is a small island off the coast of North Carolina and in the Cape Fear Region. You can only get to it by Ferry or boat. There are no vehicles allowed on the island - just golf carts. The read more about how we discovered Bald Head Island and one of my favorites lighthouses, Old Baldy" go on over to our blog at https://TravelLifeConfessions.com//the-secrets-of-bald-head-island-nc-how-we-found-it/ or just check it out on Instagram.

Do you have any recommendations for Myrtle Beach, Virgina Beach, or Ocean City? I'm going there soon and would love some tips.

We ride our motorcycle a lot to Myrtle Beach. We have been visiting there since the 80's. There is so much to do. There is a nice Ocean Front Boardwalk, Broadway at the Beach, Barefoot Landing just to name a few places. If you plan to stay in a hotel and have a family, there are many that have inside lazy rivers. I don't go to Virginia Beach that often or Ocean City; However, if you plan to go to Virginia Beach, Williamsburg is about an hour a way I believe and a must see destination.

Hi Sandy, it's fun that you live in Bolivia North Carolina :) What do you find nice there or around it, that you would recommend ?Thank you!

We live right along the coast of North Carolina with several beaches you can visit. In this area one of great attractions is Southport, a fishing village with shops and excellent cafes and restaurants. Off the coast is Bald Head Island with one of NC's 7 lighthouses - Old Baldy.
